Warren Kramer, age 59, passed away on July 3, 2021 peacefully at his home surrounded by his loving family. Warren was the loving father of Adam Jeff Kramer and the dedicated husband of Fatim (Hachainane) Kramer, both of Brighton, MA. He was born on February 18, 1962 in Brooklyn, New York to Nat Kramer and Joy (Katz) Kramer. He was the brother of Deborah Dunivan of Rockland, MA, uncle to Abigail Nestel.
Warren grew up in Rockaway, New Jersey, graduated from Morris Hills High School and attended Bowling Green State University in Ohio. An avid tennis player, Warren competed on the professional circuit for several years.
Warren was an internationally renowned macrobiotic counselor, educator, and chef. For 30 years, he taught the macrobiotic approach to health and wellness. For more than 10 years, he was a student of and assistant to the late Michio Kushi, considered the international leader of Macrobiotics. Warren traveled extensively around the world, teaching cooking, educating people, and assisting them in their efforts to improve their health. He was an exceptional chef, able to teach anyone to build their culinary skills. He served as a faculty member at several distinguished educational centers including The Kushi Institute (Becket, MA), and The Strengthening Health Institute (Philadelphia, PA) and was a member of the Macrobiotic Educators’ Association. He taught at The United Nations Macrobiotic Society, The Kushi Institute of Northern Europe, The New England School of Acupuncture, Whole Foods Markets, Barnes & Nobles Bookstores, and many other venues. For fifteen years, he was a guest lecturer at the Holistic Holiday at Sea.
Through his teaching, counseling, and deeply caring approach, he inspired and guided countless people toward better health and happier, more productive lives.
Warren was a dedicated husband and father who above all, loved and valued his family and his many close friends.
Warren’s funeral will be private, limited to immediate family, but a memorial service honoring his life will be held at a date and location to be announced. His family welcomes everyone who knew and loved Warren to join this celebration of his legacy.
