Tulsie Jodhan Obituary

October 7, 1952 – November 4, 2025

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Tulsie Jodhan, who passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family on November 4, 2025. He was 73 years old.

Born on October 7, 1952, in Guyana, Tulsie came from humble beginnings as the youngest of six children. From an early age, he displayed a strong work ethic, a love for learning, and a deep appreciation for family and community. He enjoyed the outdoors, often spending his days playing cricket and enjoying the simple pleasures of nature.

After completing school, Tulsie pursued training as an electrical engineering apprentice at a prestigious technical institute, where he honed his skills and laid the foundation for a lifelong career as an electrician. It was also there that he formed lasting friendships that endured throughout his life.

Tulsie married the love of his life, Carmen, who remained his shining star and steadfast partner in all things. Together, they raised their beloved son, Marcus, who became the center of their world. Guided by his unwavering dedication to family, Tulsie made the courageous decision to uproot his life and move to the United States to create better opportunities for his family.

Through hard work, perseverance, and integrity, Tulsie built a successful career and was immensely proud to become an American citizen, cherishing the values and opportunities that came with it. His final professional role was as Assistant Chief Engineer, a position he held with great pride and respect. In this role, he mentored countless colleagues, many of whom remained close friends long after his retirement.

Known for his wisdom, warmth, and sense of humor, Tulsie was someone people turned to for advice, conversation, and guidance. He loved discussing politics, always with strong opinions, yet with an open mind and a willingness to listen.

In his free time, Tulsie found joy in fishing, and he never hesitated to share stories of his award-winning catch for the largest striper. Upon retirement, Tulsie and Carmen settled in Wesley Chapel, Florida, where they enjoyed the sunshine, community, and peace they had both worked so hard to achieve.

Tulsie will be remembered as a devoted husband, loving father, loyal friend, and mentor to many. His legacy of hard work, compassion, and integrity will continue to live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.

He is survived by his beloved wife Carmen, his son Marcus, and many cherished relatives and friends both in the United States and abroad.
