Shevlin, Timothy J. Jr. on Friday, February 5th, age 75, of Scituate, loving husband, father and Papa passed away at Mass General Hospital after a long illness. Tim was born on Dec 23, 1945 in Boston, MA. He was preceded in death by his father, Timothy J. Shevlin, Sr., his mother, Olive A (Cuddy) Shevlin, his sister Suzanne M. Kadlick and his brother Richard P. Shevlin. He is survived by his wife, Suzanne, his daughter Elizabeth Shevlin Seita and husband Nicholas, and grandchildren Jed and Annabelle Seita. Tim also leaves behind his beloved sister, Mary Elizabeth (Mimi) Shevlin.
After graduating from Boston College and serving in the Navy, Tim went on to receive a Law Degree from Suffolk University Law School. A distinguished career in government service followed. He retired as the Executive Director of the Department of Public Utilities in 2013.
Born and raised in Boston, Tim was an avid local sports fan. He was known for his Boston College Football pre- and post-game tailgates which spanned over 30 years. In retirement, Tim enjoyed spending his winters in Naples, FL close to friends and family.
Tim had a close-knit group of friends. Their collective life experiences, stories, and memories are the life of every gathering. He was passionate about his career and enjoyed his relationships with his colleagues. His hobbies included golfing, gardening, and spending time with his family. Tim was a gifted storyteller and loyal friend who will be sorely missed by all who knew him.

Friends and family are invited to attend his funeral mass on Wednesday, February 10, at Holy Name Church, 1689 Centre Street in West Roxbury, MA 02132, at 11:30am.
