Terence Kennedy Obituary
With great sadness, the family of Terence Jerome Kennedy, age 70, of Lowell, Massachusetts, announces his passing on Saturday, May 28, 2022, at West Roxbury VA Medical Center.
Terence was born in Orange, NJ, and is the son of the late Jerome and Sue Kennedy of West Orange, NJ. He is survived by his son Jerome Almeda of Tewksbury, MA. He also leaves behind his sister Karen Ballog of Middletown, MD, and brothers Bryan Kennedy of Atherton, CA, Patrick Kennedy of Arroyo Grande, CA, and Kevin Kennedy of San Jose, CA. He is also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, and cousins.
A US Navy veteran, Terence proudly served from 1975 until 1982 as a naval tactical data systems technician. After his years of service, Terence went to school to become a radiology equipment technician and worked for many years in the medical imaging equipment industry. Terence was also a self-described hardware geek and built and repaired computer equipment as a hobby.
Terence was a lifelong avid New York Yankees fan as he grew up in New Jersey and was able to take a short bus ride to New York City to watch many Yankee games. As recently as the fall of 2021, he and his niece Grace Kennedy attended a Yankees versus Red Sox game at Fenway Park, proudly wearing their Yankees attire and rooting for the visiting team.
In addition to his family and friends who offered loving support, the family wishes to express our sincere gratitude to the West Roxbury VA Medical Center staff for their outstanding care for Terence.
