Ms. Sylvia Colón of the South End of Boston, formerly of Puerto Rico, passed away on January 16, 2025 at the age of 86.
Sylvia, a twenty five year retiree of University Hospital, was also a faithful servant of the Catholic Church and a member of the church choir for over three decades.
Sylvia was a dedicated and loving wife, mother and grandmother who aspired to make the world better shown by her willingness to always share her love, wisdom and positive energy.
Sylvia was predeceased by her husband Fructuoso Colón and daughter Lourdes Carter.
Sylvia is survived by her son Francisco Colón and his wife Sharon of Hyde Park, her son Juan Colón and his wife Delfina of California, her son Robert Colón and his wife Zaida of Holliston, her son Edgar Colón of Boston, her son Felipe Colón and his wife Sonia of Hyde Park, and by many grandchildren and great grandchildren, family and friends. She will be missed deeply by all who knew her.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in Our Lady Of Lourdes Church, 14 Montebello Road, Jamaica Plain on Saturday January 25, at 10:00 am. Relatives and friends are invited to attend.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Alzheimer’s Association.
