Leominster (formerly West Roxbury) – Stella T. Primpas (Tsialas), 80 passed away peacefully on Friday November 26, 2021 at home in Leominster surrounded by family. She is survived by her children & their spouses, Christine & Christopher Burke of Lancaster and James & Nicole Primpas of Lancaster, her grandchildren Emma, Chris, George, James and Jacob; her sister & spouse Evangeline & Nicholas Phillips of Quincy, sister in-laws Elaine Tsialas and Christine Tsialas of CT, Godchild Arthur Diamond and many other nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by her husband George Primpas (1993), siblings, Gregory Tsialas, James Tsialas and Aspasia Diamond; and daughter Vicky Primpas (2021).
Daughter of the late Nicholas and Christine Tsialas (Butchica), Stella was raised in Brookline MA. In addition to raising her family, Stella devoted herself for many years to the Greek Orthodox Cathedral in Boston and to Hellenic College & Greek Orthodox Seminary in Brookline. She has served as past Philoptochos president as well as serving on the National Board of Philotptochos. Helping students at the seminary was her passion and she developed lifelong connections with many lay and clergy.
Stella’s greatest joys were her children. She took great pride in them and even more in her grandchildren. Stella loved spending weekends and summers at her camp in New Hampshire where she spend quite a bit of her retirement.
Visiting hours will be held at the Robert J. Lawler & Crosby Funeral Home, 1803 Centre St, West Roxbury on Saturday December 4, 2021 from 9:00 am to 11:30 am. A funeral service will be held in the funeral home at 11:00 am. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. Burial will immediately follow visiting hours in St Joseph Cemetery West Roxbury.
