Robert Clark Obituary

Update of Service

Robert Todd Clark, born in Rochester, NY, on February 18, 1949, and raised in Hudson, Ohio, passed away, leaving behind a legacy of love and dedication to his family and community. Predeceased by his parents, Robert Wells and Mary Kay Clark, he is survived by his son Joe, daughter-in-law Kelly, grandson Joe, and his brothers Mark and Chris Clark.

An accomplished athlete in high school, Todd was a goalie on an undefeated soccer team and a star basketball player. He also achieved the rank of Eagle Scout. He went on to play at Ohio State University, a school he continued to love and cherish for life. After college and a brief stint playing basketball in Sweden, Todd lived in Savannah, GA, and then Chicago, IL. It was in Chicago that he married Mary Joe Maloney, and they had one son, Joe.

Todd and his family moved to Massachusetts, settling in Wellesley for almost 20 years. During this time, Todd found great joy in supporting his son in all his athletic endeavors, attending every game. Later in life, Todd moved to Scituate, MA, where he continued to charm and connect with others, forming strong bonds within the community. He took great pride in his job as a bus driver for Scituate Elementary, with his fridge covered in thank-you notes and drawings from the students.

In Scituate, Todd found companionship with Helen Healey, who was a great support to him and his family during his battle with cancer. Todd stayed strong with the excitement of becoming a grandfather and was able to meet his grandson before his passing.

All are invited to attend a celebration of Todd’s life on Saturday, September 21, at 11:00am at St. John the Evangelist Parish 9 Glen Road Wellesley, MA 02481 stjohnwellesley@stjohnwellesley.org

In lieu of flowers, donations to the Pat Roche Hospice House in Hingham in honor of Todd may be made.
