Priscilla Biondi Obituary

Priscilla Biondi was born in West Springfield, MA and lived much of her life in Boston, first in Jamaica Plain and later in Brighton. She was the cherished daughter of Monica Powers Biondi and Ernest Biondi and a devoted "mom" to Ki Chan and a loving "granny" to Eema and Nishi Karim. She was also a beloved cousin to many in her Powers and Biondi families. Pris was an enthusiastic pet lover and a lifetime rescuer of many lucky cats. She will be remembered as a woman of wit and wisdom by her many friends.
As a proponent of lifelong learning, she had an active interest in so many things. These included history, architecture, theater, art, movies and politics. She held three graduate degrees: in English Literature from Trinity College, Library Science from Simmons College and an M. ED from Boston College. She was an avid reader and a seasoned world traveler.
Priscilla worked for over 30 years as the architectural librarian at the Wentworth Institute of Technology in Boston MA.  Pris loved living in Brighton and held many board memberships and volunteer positions in local associations including the Boston Society of Architects, the Boston Natural Areas Network, the Brighton Allston Historical Society, the Brighton Heritage Museum, the Brighton Garden & Horticultural Society and the Friends of the Brighton Branch Library. She was a happy member of the "lunch bunch" a group of kindred spirits who enjoyed monthly lunch get-togethers for more than 15 years. Pris was a "culture vulture" and enjoyed taking classes, going to plays and museums, appreciating art, collecting furniture, and gardening at both her home and also in her community garden.                                                                  A life well-lived, Priscilla. May you rest in peace.

Friends and family have shared their relationship to show their support.
