Paul A. Reese

REESE, Paul Anthony age 83, of Dover MA, passed away on July 22, 2024.

Beloved Husband of the late Orlyn Reese, brother to Walter Reese, Mel Manikian, Elizabeth Demarco, Jan Grasso, and Carole Ann Reese…cherished father to Ben Reese and Julia Reese.

Born in Boston MA, Paul was a graduate of St. Anslem’s College and Harvard Business School.

Paul served in the US Army during the Cold War with the 78th USASASOU – United States Army Special Assignment Special Operations Unit.

Paul met his wife Orlyn through a mutual friend and a few months later they were married and began a 52 year marriage.

For a short time, he was a banker in Chicago before becoming a Venture Capitalist in Boston.  As a partner at T.A. Associates, he commuted between Boston and Chicago for 2 years until he established himself.  He then moved his family to the Boston area permanently in 1990 to Dover, MA.  Later he started his own venture capital firm, Shott Capital Management in Boston.

Paul was an avid traveler. Along with his wife Orlyn and group of close friends, they enjoyed annual trips to exotic places.

He was known for his generosity and had a natural affinity for mentoring others.  He will be greatly missed.

A private funeral service will be held in Dover. Following the service is lunch for friends and family at Charles River Country Club, 483 Dedham St. Newton, on Wednesday the 31st at 1:00pm
