Patricia Decot Obituary

Decot (Fielding) Patricia M. of Milton formerly Roslindale, entered eternal rest after a courageous fight with cancer on January 23, 2024, at the Miriam Boyd Parlin Hospice Residence with family by her side.

Patricia "Pat" was born on July 5, 1939, to Agnes Dutra and Charles Fielding. Pat grew up singing in the Marshalairs, glee club, and was a part of every play.  She went on to sing in weddings, karaoke, and any time she could. Pat was committed to helping and actively volunteered for every school field trip, lunch duty and was president of the Bernardines of Holy Name School in West Roxbury. She enjoyed knitting and crocheting for her grandchildren and everyone one she loved. She retired from Mount Ida college after 21 years.  Pat and Paul loved to spend New Years in Boston and summers in Ogunquit Maine with family and friends. Pat was an avid sports fan. You could find her every Sunday watching the Patriots, and all summer rooting for the Red Sox. Pat made friends with every animal she met, and you would catch her bending their ear and giving them love.

Pat is predeceased by her husband of 44 years Paul Decot. Pat and Paul blended their families when they married in 1972. They leave behind their children Paul and Julie Decot of Carver, Michael and Diane Decot of Alva FL, Susan and Robert Sherburne of Reading, Joanne and Tom McHugh of Sandwich, Deborah Williams of Cornville AZ, Christine and Paul Sorgi of Reading, Michelle Snow and Robert DuBois of Avon, and Jennifer and Eric Stalmon of Waltham.  Grammie to Bob, Emma, Christopher, Katelyn, Sarah, Valerie, Lindsey, Justine, Janelle, Chloe, Danielle, Paul, Alex, Bella, Johnny, Thomas, and twelve great grandchildren.  Sister of the late James and Deborah Fielding of Marshfield, Joan and Edward Kacey of Milton, Priscilla and Kennth Grippi of Marshfield, and nieces and nephews.  Also mourned by JoAnn Krall and family.
