Myles Richard O’Grady, age 77, of Needham Massachusetts passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his family on April 13, 2023.
He was a devoted husband to his wife of 53 years, Loretta O’Grady, a dedicated and loving father who adored his 3 children, Rebecca O’Grady, Joseph O’Grady, and Laura Sullivan, a father-in-law who truly loved his sons-in-law, Brad Sullivan and Hal Waterman, and a grandfather who called his grandchildren, Grady Sullivan and Garrett Sullivan, the lights of his life.
Born in Cranston, RI, Myles graduated from Adrian College, served his country in the US Army, and became a successful business owner. He proudly raised his family in Needham where he spent many years coaching soccer and basketball and was famous for his one-liners and gregarious demeanor on the sidelines.
Myles was an avid traveler who spread his love and joy everywhere he went. He was loved by all and will be remembered for his sense of humor, his kind heart and his fierce love for his family. To some he was known as a legend.
Myles dedicated his body to science at Tufts Medical Center in the hopes of helping future generations.
