Michael F McDonough

Michael F. McDonough, age 80, passed away on February 13th, 2025 at the VA Medical Center in West Roxbury, Massachusetts. Born in Taunton, Massachusetts on June 17th, 1944. Son of the late James P. McDonough and Rita V. McDonough. Beloved brother to Ann Cardoza, James McDonough Jr. (deceased), Rosemary Travis (deceased), and William McDonough (deceased).

Michael went to Taunton schools and joined the U.S. Marines at the age of 17 years old in 1961. A veteran of the Vietnam War, he drove an ammunition truck and was also awarded the M-14 Marksmanship Badge.

He is survived by his three children and Son-in-law:  Michael McDonough Jr., Michelle and Rudy Custer, and Amanda McDonough. Also survived by his two granddaughters: Christine McDonough and Jenna Custer.

Burial with military honors will be at the Massachusetts National Cemetery in Bourne, Massachusetts date/time tbd. Relatives and friends are invited to attend.
