Michael J McCabe age 71 passed away peacefully on October 4th 2024, Born July 28th 1953 of Boston to the late James J McCabe and Dorothy (Lonas) McCabe He was a proud resident of Roslindale, West Roxbury and was a Graduate Class of 1972, of Roslindale High School. For many years he had worked as an accountant before retirement.
He is survived by his loving Mother Dorothy (Lonas) McCabe, and late loving father James J McCabe, of West Roxbury MA, loving daughters Katelyn McCabe and the late Julianne McCabe of Roslindale. Loving Sisters Janet O’keefe and husband Michael Billings of Millis MA, Karen Kelley and her husband Scott Kelley of Walpole MA, and his one and only Loving Brother John R McCabe and wife Maureen (Doogan)McCabe of Westwood MA. Very special outstanding loving Grandfather “Grampy” to Ahmya, Michael and Evie. Cherished Uncle to his nieces and nephews, Bestfriend to many of his close friends, loving supportive Hero “dad” as they’d call him, to his daughters Katelyn, and Julianne’s close friends.
Michael was a beacon of light touching lives through his love and care and outgoing personality.
He was always the one to talk to, and be around to cheer you up with his never ending laughs. He was an avid loving sports fan, fishing and his very favorite, music playing a base guitar along with the harmonica. He was the type of person who valued hard work, honesty, and the value of a man's word.
God needed an angel,
he will be missed.
Visiting hours on Wednesday October 9, from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm in The Robert J. Lawler & Crosby Funeral home, 1803 Centre St. West Roxbury. A prayer service will be held in the funeral home at 1:00 pm. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. Interment private.
