Michael D'Onofrio Obituary

D’Onofrio, Michael D. of the West Roxbury neighborhood of Boston, Michael passed away suddenly after a brief illness at the BW Hospital on September 8, 2024 at the age of 55.  Beloved husband of Kathy Fallon; devoted father of Isabella and Sophia; cherished son of Ralph and Charlene D’Onofrio of Upton; adored brother of David D’Onofrio of CA, Julie and her husband Kenny Gallant of Milford; adoring uncle of Dominic & Giovanni D’Onofrio, Emelia & Ceci Gallant; loved by Uncle William (Chipper) Grant, Robert and Rita Grant of Florida and Margaret D’Onofrio of Scituate and many beloved cousins; absolutely unforgettable to countless friends.

He graduated from St. John’s High School of Shrewsbury, received a B.A. and Masters from the University of Dayton, Ohio, and his MBA from Clark University, Worcester.  He served on the Board of Directors for Parkway Softball and Coolidge Corner Theater.  Long time coach of the champion Magic Cats.

Mike was an avid sports fan (esp. Boston), a music aficionado, and the Creator, Commissioner, and regular Champion of several fantasy sports leagues.

During his career, he worked for PCG, Brookline School District, and most recently and enjoyably as the Finance Manager for the Brookline Police & Fire Department.

Originally from Upton MA, he lived in West Roxbury and loved spending time in Limerick ME.

To meet him was to love him. Everyone has a favorite Mike story, or too many.  He will be dearly missed by all who knew him.

Mike leaves behind so many loved ones, a wide variety of eclectic artwork and personal masterpieces, and an epic collection of track suits.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Rungano-Ndota Initiative at   https://www.rwandayouth.org/donate or the Coolidge Corner Theatre at Coolidge
