Mary E. (Foley) Rourke

 Mary E. Rourke (Foley) 92  of West Roxbury and HarwichPort . September 17, 2024. Mary was born on October 10, 1931, in Boston. She attended Mission grammar and High School. 

Beloved wife of the late Allen J. Rourke. Loving Mother of Elizabeth Berardi of Boston and Padanaram . Cherished grandmother of Marissa Berardi of Boston. Loving Mother-in-Law of Bengt Persson and Edward Berardi. Beloved sister of Anne Scanlon, Elizabeth Curtin and Michael Foley of West Roxbury, Julia Burns of Andover and the late Daniel Foley of West Roxbury and Timothy Foley of Milford. Beloved aunt of 18 nieces and nephews and many grand nieces and nephews. 

Devoted daughter of the late Michael and Elizabeth Foley of Ireland and Boston. Mary was the oldest of 7 siblings. She worked alongside her husband in the insurance and real estate Business.  She traveled and resided in Germany while her husband worked for John Hancock Insurance. Upon her return, she lived in West Roxbury and Harwich, eventually retiring to Harwich. 

Visiting hours will be held in the Robert J. Lawler and Crosby Funeral Home 1803 Centre St., West Roxbury, on Sunday, September 22, from 3:00 to 6:00PM. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Monday September 23, in The Basilica of Our Lady of Perpetual Help (Mission Church) 1545 Tremont St, Boston at 10:00AM. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. Interment Mt. Benedict Cemetery.
