Mary B. Adams
Born: March 29, 1945
Born into eternal life: July 30, 2025
Mary Bland Adams was born in 1945 to Joseph Norman Adams and (Helen) Mary Merz Adams of Garnet Rd in West Roxbury. The youngest of three children, she never married, and remained in the house on Garnet Rd to provide loving care for her aging parents and the family dogs. After her parents passed on, Mary moved to an apartment in Quincy and then to 1000 Southern Artery Senior Center. She joined her beloved parents and her older brothers Barry and Joe in God’s kingdom at the age of 80, following an extended stay at Royal Braintree Nursing and Rehab.
Mary was employed by Lord & Taylor as a switchboard operator for 19 years. She was a frequent visitor to Old Sturbridge Village and enjoyed decorating her living spaces with country crafts, dolls, and furniture. A regular churchgoer until her health confined her to bed, she took comfort in her faith and was always happy to lend a listening ear.
Mary is survived by her nieces and nephews: Emily Adams (Paulus Dominicus) of Ithaca NY, Katie Adams of Seattle WA, Jennifer Byrnes and Jay of Scituate, Nick Adams & Trisha, Chris Adams of Boston, and Zachary Adams of Dedham, by her sister-in-law Mary (Maeve) Adams of Dedham and by the children of her nieces and nephews.
