Lynne Millican Obituary

Lynne Marie Anderberg Millican, 67, passed away on July 7, 2024 at the Brigham and Women’s Faulker Hospital after emergency surgery.  She was born on May 22, 1957 in Northhampton, MA to her loving parents Joan and Myles Anderberg.

She was raised in West Roxbury, MA and summered in the Fieldston section of Marshfield, MA.  She graduated from St.Clare High School in Roslindale, MA, Faulkner Hospital School of Nursing,  University of Massachusetts Boston with a BSN and continued on to receive her Paralegal

Lynne loved to travel.  She completed numerous cross country trips and relocated to Oregon for many years.  She loved the wilderness and surviving off the land.  She purchased 40 acres of land in Hartford, Maine where she cleared the land and built her own log cabin that she shared with her beloved dogs, family and friends.

Lynne was an avid bird watcher and also enjoyed making homemade jams, jellies, piccalilli, and spices.  Many of the items used in these homemade foods were from her garden or property.

She was also passionate and a champion of women’s reproductive rights and the use of Lupron and its side effects.  She started her own website, spoke in front of the U.S. Congress and even appeared on the Phil Donahue Show to campaign for the reproductive rights of women and her concern of the drug Lupron.  This was a lifelong commitment for her, and she fought for the reproductive rights of women and against the drug Lupron until she died.

Lynne was the loving mother to her most beloved parrot Iggy. She leaves behind her half sister Kirsten Anderberg, her aunt Barbara Tripp, loving cousins and many dear friends.

The internment and life celebration of Lynne will be held at a later date.

If so moved, please honor her memory by donating to Wounded Warrior Project, Cummings School of Veterinary Medicine at Tufts University, Massachusetts Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals or any charity or non-profit of your choice.
