Louis J. Totino
Totino, Louis “Lou” of Dedham, MA, passed away on Oct 28 at the age of 92. Husband of the recently deceased Loretta (Lori) Totino for 66 years. Son of the late Michael and Antoinette (LoGrippo) Totino. Father of Paul M. Totino (wife Maureen) and John L. Totino. Grandfather of Michelle Carilli (Mike), Lauren Totino King (Noah), Sarah Totino, and Allison Totino. Great-grandfather of Nathan and Leah Carilli. Brother of Elizabeth Lasden of Norwood.
Raised in East Cambridge and Somerville. Attended St. Francis School in East Cambridge. A proud Triple Eagle: Boston College High School, Boston College, and BC MBA. Past President BC MBA Alumni Association. BC Class Officer. Served in the U.S. Army 9th Infantry Division in Germany as a Field Artillery Officer and 19 years in the Army Active Reserve. Retired Major USAR. Retired Deputy Director of Marketing at the Mass State Lottery and Sr. V.P. Marketing of MDI. Owned his own Marketing Consulting business during retirement and taught marketing courses, part time, at BC for more than 40 years. Executive Member of the American Marketing Association. Enjoyed his grandchildren, their activities, military history and all the Boston sports, particularly tailgating at BC football games with family as a season ticket holder for over 60 years. Enjoyed travel with his wife, especially to Ogunquit, Maine. Served Mass at St. Peter’s in Rome.
Services will be private. Donations may be made in Lou’s memory to St. Susanna Church, 262 Needham St. Dedham, MA 02026.
