Loreto Espiritu Inocentes

Loreto Espiritu Inocentes of West Roxbury formerly of the Philippines on November 20th 2022. Beloved husband for 55 years to the late Lagrimas Manela Inocentes, who passed away in 2013. He was the fourth of 5 sons born on June 22nd 1932 to the late Ramon Javier Inocentes and Arsenia Noriel Espiritu in Digman, Bacoor Cavite, Philippines.

A loving father and father-in-law, he is survived by his children Armila Inocentes, Bismarck Inocentes and his wife Mona, Lizette Inocentes, Digi and her husband Jack Rojas, all of West Roxbury MA, Michelle and her husband Jeffrey McLeod of Revere MA, Fatima and her husband Hooman Ghazian of Milton MA. He also left behind 14 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren, all of whom adored him for his unconditional love, good nature and generosity.

Also known by Rollie, Ruling, Papa Lorets or Papa Reto to friends and loved ones, he always gave joy to both relatives and friends. He had an infectious smile and a laugh that could fill a room, especially when telling stories or sharing anecdotes from his youth. He was always known to be a sharp dresser with a great sense of style.

He earned a degree in Accounting from the Lyceum of the Philippines while working as an Examiner at the Bureau of Internal Revenue and Auditor at the GSIS ( Government Service Insurance System ).

He came to the US in 1992 and starting working at Lenox and Park Plaza hotels. It was at the Lenox where he met the future Mayor of Boston, Thomas M. Menino. He proudly campaigned for the future mayor and went on to work at City Hall as Facilities Manager for 18 years. He took great pride in having been able to serve the Mayor and the City of Boston until his Retirement in 2014.

Throughout his long journey, he got to know people from all walks of life. Many of them became lifelong friends who always remained near and dear to his heart. That was his gift.

Rest well, Papa. We will miss you. Give Mama a big hug and kiss from all of us. ❤️

Visiting hours will be held on Friday November 25, in the Robert J. Lawler & Crosby Funeral Home, 1803 Centre St. WEST ROXBURY from 11:00 am to 2:00 pm. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. Interment private.
