Leonor "Aita" Camargo Pescador, age 83, passed away January 7, 2021 after a sudden illness.
Born June 17, 1937 in Bogota, Colombia to Jose Ignacio and Teresa Pescador, she eventually married Dr. Hector S. Camargo, also of Bogota, in April of 1963, who preceded her in death in May of 1984.
A master at Chinese Checkers, accomplished Knitter, and retired teacher of the Boston public schools, Aita was a selfless human being with a strong faith, devoting her life to family and friends.
Her life was a living example of Ephesians 4:32 — “And be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving one another, just as God also forgave you in Christ.”
She is survived by her three sons; Jose and Iris Camargo of Weymouth, Ma, Carlos Camargo of Lowell, MA, and Richard and Mary Camargo of Norton, Ma; grandchildren, Kailee, Isabella, Carlos Andrew, Manny, Jacob, Erik and GrandDog Cooper; plus her many nephews, nieces and extended family and friends.
This coming Saturday, January 16, 2021, beginning at 11:00 am, friends and family are invited to take part in a procession from the Robert J. Lawler & Crosby Funeral Home, 1803 Centre St. West Roxbury to St. Joseph's Cemetery, 990 Lagrange St. West Roxbury where a short ceremony will be held at 11:30 am..
