Kolleen Rahilly Obituary

Kolleen Patricia Rahilly of Dedham passed peacefully on April 11, 2024, with her beloved brothers and sister by her side at Good Shepherd Miriam Boyd Parlin Hospice in Wayland after a long illness.  Born on April 29, 1964, she was 59 years old and hoped to celebrate her upcoming 60th birthday. Those who journeyed alongside Kolleen were in awe of her courage, resilience, and optimism.

Kolleen graduated from Dedham High in 1982.  She received a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from Suffolk University. She was First Vice President at Alliant Insurance Services, LLC in Boston, MA.  She continued to work through her illness as her career and the team with whom she worked were of great importance to her. Her bulldog, Mabel, was a star in her life and she held a high position in Kolleen’s family.    Kolleen was an enthusiastic supporter of all Boston sports teams especially the New England Patriots who held a giant piece of her heart.  Kolleen’s life was filled with dedication to her career, passion for travel, and love for her family, friends, and co-workers. She was the famous ‘Auntie’ to several nieces and nephews all of whom she cherished.

Loving daughter of the late Thomas Rahilly and Mary (Corcoran) Rahilly of Dedham.  Nicknamed ‘Princess’ by her dad, she was his treasure.  Devoted sister of Kathleen Callahan and her husband Sean of Wrentham, Kevin Rahilly of Dedham, Brian O’Rahilly and his wife Maura of Marshfield. Beloved Auntie of Alissa Callahan of Assonet; Bree Callahan of Plainfield, CT; Lara Callahan and her wife Kari Charlesworth of Brooklyn, NY; Kaitrin Callahan of Brooklyn, NY; Michael Rahilly and his wife Jessica of Wrentham; Cameron Rahilly of West Roxbury; Shaigh O’Rahilly and Fionn O’Rahilly of Marshfield; Aiden Callahan of Johnston, RI; and Hudson Callahan of Plainfield, CT.

Growing up across the street in Dedham cherished cousins, William McHugh and his wife Donna and son Will McHugh of Westwood; Jay McHugh and his wife Stacey and daughter Oshyn McHugh of Littleton; Stephen McHugh of West Roxbury. Also survived by numerous cousins who live locally and those residing in Ireland and England especially Martin O’Rahilly of Dublin who traveled to Boston last week to spend time with Kolleen prior to her passing.
