Katherine Vysotsky Obituary

Katherine Vysotsky, 82, resident of Boston, MA, passed away on May 29, 2022 in her home.

She was born on May 2, 1940 in Moscow, Russia to Antonina Leontievna and Ivan Iosifovich Antonovich.

Katherine graduated from the Moscow Institute of Architecture and had a long career in architecture that started at the Central Moscow Institute of Architecture. It continued at Johnson/Burgee Architects in New York City, where she worked hand-in-hand with world-renowned architect Philip Johnson. She later joined Stubbins Associates in Boston, MA. Katherine was a designer at heart, who helped her friends transform their homes in her spare time.

After immigrating to United States in 1981, she established residence with her husband in Brooklyn, then Riverdale, NY and Boston, MA. She loved the energy and the unique style of New York City, but she was in love with the elegant architecture of Boston, where she chose to retire. She left a mark of style, elegance and beauty wherever she lived, always aiming to brighten and uplift her community.

Katherine is survived by her husband George Vysotsky, her daughter Tanya Vysotsky and grandchildren Adrian and Alexandra Clerc, residents of Boston, MA.

Services will take place on June 2, 2022 at 1 pm at the Gardens Cemetery in Boston.
