Katherine (Murphy) Hanifin

HANIFIN, Katherine "Katie" (Murphy) of Jamaica Plain, passed October 9, 2025.  Daughter of the late Thomas & Catherine (Casey) Murphy.  Beloved widow of the late James M. Hanifin.  Loving mother of James Hanifin and his wife Cindy, John Hanifin, Thomas Hanifin and his wife Kelly, Robert Hanifin and his wife Tina, Kathleen and her husband Eddie Davis, Nancy and her husband Paul Devlin and Mary Ellen Hanifin-Gilmore.  Sister of Anne Davis of Cambridge, Mary Christian of Foxboro, Patricia Giddings of West Roxbury and the late Thomas Murphy, Ellen Mahony and Margie Christenson.  Grandmother of 22 and Great grandmother of 12.

Visiting hours in The Robert J. Lawler & Crosby Funeral Home, 1803 Centre St. West Roxbury on Thursday, October 16, from 4:00 to 8:00 pm.  Relatives and friends are invited to attend.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St Theresa of Avila Church, 2078 Centre Street, W. Roxbury, MA  on Friday, October 17, at 10:00 am, with a burial at St. Joseph Cemetery, West Roxbury.
