John Steven Thompson, 64, died at his home in Brighton, MA on Thursday, February 20, 2025, after a recent history of health issues. John was born in Sewickley, PA on April 18, 1960, to the late Jerome Thomspon and Mary Blake. John attended The College of Wooster, in Wooster, OH where he studied religion and graduated in 1981 before joining the U.S. Navy. After his service to the country he returned to college, obtained a nursing degree and became a travelling nurse.
He was known as JT by many of his friends, was active in online communities, and enjoyed playing role playing games. He is survived by his brother Peter Thompson, his sister-in-law Karen, and their children Michael and Anna, and sister Susan Thompson, and her son, Charles Thompson.
A Graveside services with military honors will be held on Thursday February 27, at 10:00 am in The Massachusetts National Cemetery, Bourne, MA. Relatives and friends are invited to attend.
