John Radosta Obituary

John J. Radosta of Dedham, passed away peacefully after a long illness on June 24, 2022. Beloved husband of 54 years to Donna (DePetro), father to Anthony and his wife Jill of Medfield, Lisa and her partner Arthur (Bud) of Dorchester, cherished grandfather to Samantha and Matthew, brother to Vincent Radosta and the late Marie Radosta. Son to the late Charles and Elvira Radosta. John was born in Dorchester and moved to Dedham as a teenager.

He graduated from Dedham High School in 1961 and joined the United States Air Force where he served for two years. John then started his plumbing career and eventually went into business with his brother Vincent and opened Dedham Plumbing.  After 25 years, he moved on to become the plumbing inspector for the town of Dedham and retired in 2009.  John was also a former president of the Dedham Lions Club. John met his beloved wife Donna in 1965 and were married in 1968.  They had two children, Anthony and Lisa, and two grandchildren, Samantha and Matthew.  He loved them all very deeply. John and Donna loved to spend time at their home in Bourne with family and friends.  He had a wicked sense of humor that often caught people off guard.  He and Donna traveled extensively.  John loved boating, fishing, golfing, and going to casinos.  He was very handy and could build or fix anything.
