John Donahue Obituary

Plymouth - John Michael Donahue, 90, of Mayflower St. Entered heaven, November 28th, 2021, Peacefully at home,

amongst loved ones. 

John was retired from the U.S. Postal Service, South Postal in Boston, working in the accounting division.

John was born on August 29, 1931, in Boston, son of Michael and Gertrude (Foley) Donahue. 

In addition to his parents, John was predeceased by his brother Bob.                                                                                                                                                                                               He is survived by his best friend and beloved wife of 67 years, Eileen M. (Conlon) Donahue, His brothers Wally, Richard, and sister Lorraine.

John was the beloved father of John Jr., Eileen, Mark, Eric, Ellen, and James.

He also leaves behind his loving grandchildren, who he was exceptionally proud of, and spoke of often. He also leaves behind numerous nieces and nephews.

After retiring in the mid '90's, John enjoyed spending time at the beach with his wife, Eileen, and whichever grandchild that they were watching at the moment.

He also enjoyed football season, never missing a Patriots, or Giants game.

John was a devout Catholic, and was a communicant of St. Mary's Church in North Plymouth.

Family burial will held at the Massachusetts National Cemetery, Bourne, MA.

A special acknowledgment to the tireless efforts of the nurses and health aides of Cranberry Hospice, Plymouth, MA. Who made the final weeks of John's life,

more comfortable, for both him and his family.
