Guillermo died peacefully at home with his wife Kathy by his side. He loved life completely. He was a dance instructor extraordinaire, who taught countless people the joys of Latin dancing. He and Kathy loved traveling and were so fortunate to visit beautiful places around the world. But by far their favorite destination was their beloved Provincetown.
Guillermo got so much joy from spending time with his nephews and niece – Michael, Demetri, Niko, Alex, and Georgia, including those wonderful camping trips. Quite a few hilarious memories from those excursions! He adored them and thought of them as his own children. He loved music, movies, walks in the Arboretum and throughout JP, all the Boston sports teams. He loved his friends and family, and bringing people together for music, food, conversation and especially dancing, as everyone who attended the Coquito parties knows. A very special tradition was weekly dinners with Kathy and her parents, whom he loved so very much.
Guillermo is survived by his adoring wife Kathy with whom he spent 34 wonderful, happy, fun-filled years, his mother- and father-in-law Georgia and Demetrios Tassiopoulos, sister-in-law Maria Tassiopoulos and her husband Robert Carnes, brother-in-law Evan Tassiopoulos and his wife Elizabeth, his brothers Tomas Rivera and Hector Corominas, cousins Peter Pagan, Hector Ruiz, Luana Brocke, Maria Mandrafino, his niece Lenice Andrade and her husband Carl, his two children William J. and Gina Simone from his first marriage, and many other cousins, nephews and nieces. He also leaves behind so many loving friends.
