Gregory Kent Obituary

Gregory William Kent

June 18, 1949 ~ November 11, 2020

Gregory Kent, from Northborough, MA, originally from Brighton, MA, passed away November 11, 2020 of COVID-19 related complications.

Greg truly loved life. He enjoyed visiting his brother and family in Boxford and holiday gatherings with extended family. He knew all the nieces’ and nephews’ names as well as all their children. He also had a special love for jokes and kept a notebook of his favorites. Jokes from Greg were beloved by all because he would often start laughing right before the punch line in anticipation. He enjoyed going to a monthly dance and would dance and socialize with everyone. His favorite community trips were to Southwick Zoo, where he would feed the deer. He loved playing cards with his roommates, watching TV, listening to music, eating junk food, and going out to dinner. He especially loved to eat out—his favorites were Chinese food and Dunkin Donuts. He enjoyed going to his day program at Horace Mann Educational Association in Northborough, where he was well known by all and knew everyone by name.

Greg worked at the Charles River Industry in Needham as well as HMEA in Bellingham doing odd jobs and kitchen work. He always loved to help everyone.

He is predeceased by his father and mother Brad and Helen and brother Stevie. He is survived by his brother Dennis Kent and wife Michelle; his brother George Kent and wife Martha; his cousins Dori Dracopoulos, Nick Stavropoulos, and Jeffrey and Philip Goldsmith. Greg is also survived by his nephews, Alexander and Harrison Kent. Gregory loved so many people—most of all his friends Dick and Sandy Golebiewski. He spoke with them often, and Greg was always overjoyed when they sent him scratch tickets! Greg enjoyed every second of life, and we strive to do the same in his memory.
