In Loving Memory of Gloria Semedo Gloria Semedo, age 93, formerly a resident of Port Charlotte, Florida, and most recently residing in Katy, Texas, peacefully departed this world on Tuesday, September 5th, 2023.

Gloria came into this world on November 14th, 1929, in Kingston, Jamaica, the beloved daughter of John and Mariam Brown. She was the youngest daughter of their ten children, sharing her journey with her siblings Kenneth, Frank, Victor, David, Noel, Arthur, Olga, Eric, and John Jr. She embarked on her American adventure, which included stops in Great Britain and Canada, eventually settling in Randolph, Massachusetts, where she encountered and married the love of her life, Robert L Semedo, on September 4th, 1976.

She dedicated over two decades of her life to serving the United States Federal Government’s Boston Field Office in various capacities, contributing her unwavering commitment and expertise. Gloria later embraced retirement in 1989.

Gloria was preceded in death by her devoted husband, Robert, as well as her son, Robert (Bobby) Jr., and daughter, Chery Reid. She leaves behind cherished memories with her daughters: Sandra Kouyate (Makan), Juanita Semedo, and Patricia Ochogu (Lenny). Her legacy continues through her five grandchildren: Vonnessa Goode-Knight, Maddrey Goode, Tanika Williams (David), William Jackson (Sarah), and Lynisha Ochogu, as well as her ten great-grandchildren: Mercedes, Kobe, Naomi, Mya, Jeremiah, Sophia, David Jr., Kyrie, Alana, and Mckenna. Gloria also leaves behind a host of cousins, nieces, and nephews, all of whom hold her in their hearts and will dearly miss her.

Services to honor Gloria's life will take place at the Robert J Lawler & Crosby Funeral Home, located at 1803 Centre St, West Roxbury, MA 02132, on Monday September 18th, 2023, at 11:00 am. Following the service, she will be laid to rest alongside her beloved husband, Robert, at the Massachusetts National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations to the American Cancer Society in Gloria's memory. Your support during this time is greatly appreciated. Gloria's memory will forever shine in our hearts, and her legacy will endure through the generations she leaves behind
