Gisele Michel Obituary

Gisele Michel was born on November 17th, 1938, in Port-Au-Prince, Haiti, and on February 5th, 2024, in Roslindale, Massachusetts, she went to be with our heavenly father.  She was surrounded with love and peace by her two lovely daughters.

Gisele spent her younger years in Haiti, and in 1969, she earned her certificate as a Dental Hygienist. In 1977 Gisele married Raphael Michel, soon after she moved to America becoming a mom of 2. It was then she changed careers, and became a Certified Nursing Assistant.  She gained employment at Golden Living and worked there for 30 years until her retirement in 2013.

On May 17th, 2013, Gisele became a grandmother, a title she was most proud of. Gisele loved her children and grandson deeply.  She found happiness and joy during her retirement and traveled on numerous vacations both overseas and locally with her daughters and grandson.

Gisele was a woman of few words with an angelic personality. She had a loving heart and a beautiful smile reminiscent of an endless burning flame.  She truly lit up every room she entered. One of Gisele’s favorite pastimes was to sing while cooking for her family.  She was also a proud member of Temple Salem Seventh-Day Adventist Church.

Gisele is predeceased by her parents Chrisostome Brutus and Germaine (Matieu) Brutus, siblings Elivire Princivil and Jean Marie Roger Brutus, Nieces Dina Princivil and Alourdes Princivil and great Nieces Fabienne Princivil and Aurine Princivil.

Gisele is survived by her Daughters, Violine Michel and Violaine Michel, grandson Giovanni Michel-Tumblin, Nieces Mary Princivil and Nadia Princivil, Nephews Lesley Princivil, Robert Princivil, Frantz Princivil, and Daniel Princivil, Great Nieces and nephews, Loyola & Jamie Barnett, Sybil & Quincy Wells, Jenny & Gary Jourdain, Malenkow (Junior) Princivil, Oliver Roc, O’Neal Princivil, Gregory & Julie Princivil, Frantz & Chelsea Deetjen, Yasmine Deetjen & Alexandria Deetjen, 15 great great nieces and nephews, special friends Vania Salomon, Anne Cadet, and Louisa Lacombe.

The family wishes to extend a special appreciation to all the caretakers, friends, and family who continued to check in and assist with her care in the comfort of her home until her last days.
