Myers, Frances “Fran” Louise (Fitzgerald) of West Roxbury, formerly of Charlestown, passed away on September 25, 2024. She was 86 years old. Beloved wife of the late Robert G. Myers who taught at the Robert G. Shaw Middle School for many years. Devoted daughter of the late Edward J. Fitzgerald and Frances L. (Fallon) Fitzgerald. Loving mother of Kathleen F. Gallagher and her husband Michael of West Roxbury, and Kristine F. Isberg and her husband Michael of Gig Harbor, Washington. Dearest Nana to Michael R. J. Gallagher and cherished sister of John F. Fitzgerald and the late Edward J. Fitzgerald of Weymouth. Fran grew up in St. Mary’s Parish in Charlestown and graduated from Cathedral High School in the South End. She worked for the Telephone Company as a young woman, was a wife and stay-at-home mother while her daughters were in school, and later worked for First Mutual Bank, Bank Boston and Bank of America before retiring.
Her funeral mass will be held at Holy Name Parish Church in West Roxbury at 10 o’clock on Wednesday, October 2nd. Visiting hours are Tuesday, October 1st from 4:00-8:00 p.m. at Robert J. Lawler & Crosby Funeral Home located at 1803 Centre Street in West Roxbury. Interment at St. Joseph Cemetery. Relatives, neighbors and friends are all invited.
