Frances “Franny” M. Campbell of Plymouth formerly of Roslindale, passed away peacefully in her sleep on August 1, 2023. She was born on May 16, 1931, the only child of Francis Campbell and Theresa “Ella” Campbell. Franny graduated from St. Thomas Aquinas School in 1945. Upon graduating she worked at various offices in a secretarial capacity before finding her work family at the City of Newton where she worked until her retirement. Franny was a devout Catholic and a devoted member of the Holy Name Parish in West Roxbury. Over the years she enjoyed time with friends, traveling, going to the movies, eating out and making memories. While she enjoyed her travel, she’d always say there was nothing as wonderful as going home to her little apartment on Belgrade Ave in Roslindale where she resided for over five decades. She will be tremendously missed by her god daughter, Barbara M. Pagnotti of Plymouth as well as all those who were able to call her friend. If you were lucky enough to know Franny, you were lucky enough. May she rest in the sweetest peace.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in The Holy Name Lower Church on Friday August 4, at 10:00 am. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. Interment New Calvary Cemetery.
