Evelyn T. Twerago passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on Tuesday, October 21, 2025. She will leave a void that can’t be filled to all those who loved her.
Born in Boston, she was the beloved daughter of the late Henry and Bridget Cavanaugh. Evelyn was a lifelong resident of Boston and took pride in her Irish Ancestry. She was known for her compassionate nature, giving spirit and witty sense of humor. Evelyn was a faithful member of Saint John’s Church and was always ready to lend a hand and comfort whomever needed it. Additionally, she worked for many years at the Ethos Nutrition Program serving the elderly. Evelyn was the cherished wife of the late Alexander Twerago. Together, they dedicated their lives to family and found joy in creating lasting memories and traditions.
Evelyn was the devoted mother to daughter Patty Muldoon and her husband Jake, son Stephen Twerago and his wife Renee, daughter Marie Bruen and her husband Chucky, and predeceased by son Paul Twerago. She is the cherished grandmother of Christine, Kerry, Andrea, Stephen, Matthew, Thomas and Bridget and great-grandmother to James, Landon, Alex, Mila and Hannah. She is also survived by her sisters Patsy Harney and Claire Matukas. She is predeceased by her siblings Frances, Anna, Henry, Joseph, and George Cavanaugh. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
