Donna Elaine Goggin, 76, passed away on August 21, 2024, in W. Roxbury, Massachusetts. Born on August 7, 1948, in Gardiner, Maine, she was the cherished daughter of Thelma Brooks and the late William Goggin.
Donna proudly served in the United States Air Force (USAF) for 20 years, achieving the rank of Technical Sergeant (TSGT) before retiring in 1993. Following her distinguished military career, she pursued her entrepreneurial spirit and operated Spell Bound with her son Joel, a beloved local business, until 2022.
Donna was a vibrant part of her community, known for her love of pickleball, crafting intricate popsicle stick houses, and engaging in spirited Yu-Gi-Oh! card games. Her zest for life and unique hobbies brought joy to all who knew her.
She is survived by her son, Joel Goggin of Vacaville, CA; grandsons, Zachary and Christopher Goggin of Waterville, ME; cousin, Jeff Williams of Portland, ME; and her mother, Thelma Brooks of Waterville, ME. Her beloved dog, Marley, also mourns her loss. Donna was preceded in death by her brothers, Richard, Chester, and Kenneth Goggin.
A service to honor Donna's life and service will be held at the Augusta Veterans Memorial Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project, an organization close to Donna's heart, supporting fellow veterans.
