Donald Sautter Obituary

Donald H. Sautter

May 17, 1940 – December 10, 2024

In loving memory of our father, Donald H. Sautter, of Quincy, Massachusetts, who went peacefully to be with his Heavenly Father on Tuesday, December 10, 2024, at the age of 84. Don was surrounded by family and friends in his final days, and he will be greatly missed.

Born on May 17, 1940, to Helen and Howard Sautter, Don was one of four children, and grew up in Abington, Pennsylvania. He was a good student, excelling in swimming and diving and came to know the Lord at the age of 15. Don felt called to become a pastor and obtained degrees from Philadelphia College of Bible, Reformed Episcopal Seminary, Westminster Theological Seminary and Dallas Theological Seminary. He was also a gifted salesman and put himself through school while working for Southwestern Publishing Company where he won many Top Salesman awards.

In 1970, Don, his wife Judy, and their children, moved to Valley Forge, Pennsylvania, where he founded Christ Church of Valley Forge which is still an active church today. He then went back into the publishing field, eventually publishing his own books, Leader of Leaders and Love is the Greatest.

In 2007, Don moved to Quincy, Massachusetts, and became a proud resident of 1000 Southern Artery where he participated in and facilitated a Pinochle club, several book clubs and Bible studies. He was actively involved in his church, Crossroads Worship Center in Weymouth, where he continued to serve the Lord with a true passion for bringing souls to Christ.

Don is survived by his three children, Debbie Zakarian, Don Sautter, and Donna Collins-Mann. He has six grandchildren and recently became a great grandfather. We loved our father and his mission to bring people to know the Lord through both his pastoral and publishing endeavors.

A memorial service will be held in the New Year at the Crossroads Worship Center.
