Daxesh Thakkar Obituary

Daxesh’s Obituary

Daxesh "Sunny" Vasudev Thakkar, 52, of Franklin, MA, passed away peacefully on September 5th, 2022 after a valiant battle with terminal disease.

Daxesh was born in Gujarat, India in the year 1969. To pursue his dreams, he immigrated to the United States in 1996 at the age of 26. From there he went on to accomplish the aspirations that he imagined. He worked tirelessly day and night to provide a better, comfortable life for his family and future generations to come. He single-handedly built several businesses from the ground up.

His friends and family loved him for his sarcastic, goofy, helpful, and generous nature. He served and cared for everyone around him without ever asking for anything in return. He enjoyed cooking and was always excited to share and feed those that he welcomed into his home with open arms. Daxesh enjoyed watching sports, building meaningful relationships and friendships with others, starting new business endeavors, and he was always up for a challenge. He was a great problem solver and served as the rock of his family during hard times.

Daxesh was a devoted husband of Chhaya Thakkar and a loving father of two sons, Jimish and Parth. He taught them honesty, truthfulness, and how to care for others. He took care of his parents in his home for the entirety of his life. Daxesh is survived by his wife Chhaya, Mother Subhadraben Thakkar, brother Harshang Thakkar, Sister in law Nita Thakkar, Son Parth Thakkar, Son Jimish Thakkar, Daughter in law Esha Thakkar, Sister Neha Thakkar, Sister Harshida Thakkar, Brother in laws Atul Thakkar and Bharat Thakkar, Niece and Nephews – Disha Thakkar, Dhruvanshu Thakkar, Timal Thakkar, Bianca Thakkar, Dhruvi Thakkar, and Dhruval Thakkar,

While Daxesh was taken far too soon from our lives and the world we live in, he leaves behind a great legacy. He trusted that his two dedicated sons Jimish and Parth Thakkar will take it a step further with the help of his wife Chhaya Daxesh Thakkar.

A Hindu Funeral is arranged from 9AM – 11:30AM on Thursday, September 8th, 2022, at The Robert J. Lawler & Crosby Funeral Home, 1803 Centre St, West Roxbury, MA 02132. The cremation is located at St. Michael's Crematory, in Roslindale, MA
