Davis H Scudder

Davis Scudder, age 94, of Brockton, MA, died peacefully on Sunday, June 8, 2025, at the West Roxbery VA Medical Center. He was the husband of the late Joyce Scudder. Davis is survived by his three children Dr. Douglas Scudder of MA, Mark Scudder of OH and Dr. Pamela Scudder of CO; two daughters-in-law Felice Scudder of MA and Shari Scudder of OH; and two grandchildren Dr. Amanda Scudder of MA and Police Officer Robert Scudder of MA. 

Davis was the youngest son of Howard and Ruth Scudder. His brother, Herbert (wife Doris) predeceased him. He enjoyed family gatherings with his niece Brenda Norris (husband Steve) and his nephew Glenn Scudder (wife Cindy).  He has an extensive extended family with whom he enjoyed spending time.

Davis was a lifelong resident of Brockton, Massachusetts. He graduated from Brockton High School in 1949 and served in the Korean War. He was an active member of the Masons for over 60 years. He enjoyed playing the piano at church regularly and was a member of the United Methodist Churches in Brockton and most recently Cochesett United Methodist Church.

His funeral service will be held later this summer. In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be given to the Fisher House Foundation www.fisherhouse.org.
