Cynthia graduated from Yorktown High School in Arlington, Va. She received a B.S. in Child Psychology and Child Development.  Several years later Cynthia received a Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy from Boston University.  She worked for Harvard Vanguard Medical Associates in Boston MA. After retirement Cynthia became well known as a local artist and was active in the art guild in Dedham and several other art organizations.  She won awards for her watercolors and Monoprints. She was an extraordinary person who lived life as if everyday was an adventure.  Cynthia never complained about her health challenges and made everyone around her feel liked and comfortable.  Those who knew her were always amazed at her incredible talents and varied interests. She met life’s challenges with fortitude and grace.  Cindy loved to play Mah Jongg with her many friends and enjoyed travel. Cynthia managed the family lake house, and many friends and relatives have great memories of their times on Long Pond in Dracut.   Max, the cat, was well loved by Cindy.  Cynthia leaves a sister Kimberly Ziegelman of Charlotte VT, a brother Michael Mootz of Waukesha WI, and a sister Karen Patton of New Richmond IN, as well as many nieces and nephews, and great nieces and great nephews. The family has chosen cremation and a Celebration of Life will be held for family and friends at a later date.  In lieu of flowers the family wishes that donation be made to a local animal shelter.
