Cheryl Ann (Gear) Alves

Cheryl Ann Alves (Gear) of West Roxbury, MA passed away after a long illness on November 7, 2025.

Cheryl was born in Passaic, NJ on April 23, 1959.  She graduated Garfield High School and moved to Massachusetts in 1977.  She received her Associates Degree from Mass Bay Community College and was a longtime employee of Massachusetts General Hospital.

She was the wife of the late John H. Alves, beloved daughter of Helen Gear, sister to Jean Lehoux, Laurie Ford and husband Henry Ford, and the late Edward S Gear.

Aunt to Sean, Catherine, Erin and Jaime. She also leaves behind stepdaughters Carrie Rehak and Chrissy Davenport.

She was kind, loyal, a loving daughter, sister, aunt and friend.  She had a strong affection for all animals, especially horses and her many beloved cats over the years.  She was an avid reader, loved watching old movies, and spending time with family. 

Funeral Service and Interment will be private.
