Barbera, Charles A. born: 07/07/1935- died 08/30/2022.

Charles A. Barbera of Watertown, MA passed away on August 30, 2022 peacefully at Seasons Hospice in Milton, MA after a brief illness. He joins his beloved deceased wife of 63 years, Gloria Barbera and leaves behind his three dedicated sons: Anthony F. Barbera and wife, Sandra, of Milton, MA, Charles A. Barbera of Lynn, MA and Dean J. Barbera and wife, Wanida, of Westford, MA.

He also leaves five beautiful grandchildren who loved their ‘Papa’ as well as several nieces and nephews. Charles also joins his deceased sister, Theresa Ryan, formerly of Somerville, MA and Pompano Beach, FL.

Charles was a self- made success who developed an illustrious career with International Harvester Company and went on to become one of their largest Independent truck dealers called Northeast International Trucks, Inc. Post Northeast International days, Charles was the president of Tech Weld Corp, a truck tank manufacturer AND went on to launch Charles River Financial Corp in 1997 with his son Anthony, assisting  hundreds of business owners over the past twenty five years with their equipment financing needs. An avid golfer and longtime member of Charles River Country Club, nicknamed “The Greatest” by his golfing buddies. ‘Charlie’ deeply loved his family, business associates and friends and looked forward to each day!

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, September 9th, 2022 at St. Patrick’s Church, 212 Main St, Watertown, MA  02472 at 10:00 am. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. Visitation at the St. Patrick's Church Friday morning at 9:00 am. Burial at Mt. Benedict Cemetery.
