Carol (Moore) Carlson

Carol Ann Carlson (Moore) of Bedford, MA

Died June 11, 2021, unexpectedly after a brief illness, peacefully and surrounded by loving family.  She was 77 years old.

Recently predeceased just 20 days earlier by her devoted husband, John W. Carlson on May 22, 2021.  Also predeceased by her brother Richard R. Moore and sister-in-law Elizabeth (Betty) Carlson Danner and Betty’s husband William Danner.

Carol was the daughter of Winfield Remington Moore and Barbara Moore (Handel) of Latimer Point, Connecticut, Treasure Island, Florida then Bedford, MA.

She leaves behind 2 children; Robert R. Carlson (wife Lindsay) and Laura C. Miller (husband Carl), 6 grandchildren; Amanda, Patrick, Remington, Duncan, Elizabeth (Bethi) and Brittani, sister-in-law Irene Moore (Richard), brothers-in-law David Carlson (wife Joan) and Rev. George F. Carlson and many nieces and nephews. 

Carol cherished her children and grandchildren with all her heart and soul.  She will be remembered for gushing and bragging about them to friends and family near and far. 

Carol was born July 7, 1943, raised in Manchester, CT, married John in 1968 and settled in Bedford in 1971 where they made their home for 50 years.  They raised their children, made many dear friends, volunteered for various committees including The Historic District Commission, Friends of The Job Lane House and the B2K Committee.   Carol especially enjoyed the countless numbers of Rob’s and Laura’s friends through the teen+ years who came in and out of the door of the house on Great Road.  Some of those friends still feel as though Carol was their second Mom. 

She will be deeply missed. 

Due to the timing of her death being so close to her husband’s, a service to celebrate her life is TBD.
