Bryan Moynihan Obituary

Bryan C Moynihan of Norwood passed away peacefully surrounded by family at Brigham and Women’s Hospital on January 24, 2023 at the age of 74. Bryan was born in Boston to Catherine and John Moynihan. He is survived by his loving wife and best friend Patty (O’Connor) Moynihan. Dear brother-in-law of Julie O’Connor Viera and her husband Michael of West Roxbury and Kathy Davis and her husband Mark of Roslindale. Beloved uncle of Caitlin, Meaghan, Shelagh and her husband Mike, Connor, Jack and his fiancee Gina. He leaves behind his mother Catherine and sister Cathy along with many cousins and friends. Bryan was predeceased by his father John who died in the line of duty during the Korean War.

Bryan retired from Quincy Hospital Engineering Department followed by several years at Milton Academy in facilities. More recently, and the job that brought him the most happiness, was working part time at New Pond Village, assisted living facility in Walpole. It was here he met his boss and friend, David Marascio, along with the most amazing and caring co workers who became a second family to him. Bryan enjoyed his work and the many parties and activities that were held for residents and employees. Bryan loved cheering on the Red Sox and the Patriots, sailing in his earlier years, spending time in Marshfield, watching old movies, listening to music, and dining out. Not to mention playing Keno and scratch tickets! Mostly, Bryan loved family gatherings (never missing an event!) and walking his dog Teddy around the neighborhood, often stopping to chat or to give a wave. Bryan was a true gentleman and will be dearly missed by all who knew him.
A special mention to the staff at Dana Farber and Brigham and Women’s Hospital. We are forever grateful for your care and compassion.
