Bobby Bell Mack passed away on November 14, 2024, at the age of 72 in West Roxbury, MA. Born on November 10, 1952, Bobby dedicated 33 years of his life to serving in the United States Army and the National Guard (SFC/E7) and was a Vietnam Veteran, showcasing an unwavering commitment to his nation. He was a respected military leader, embodying the spirit of dedication and service.
Following his military career, Bobby became a revered health and physical education teacher, touching the lives of many students with his passion for shaping young minds. His kind-hearted nature and readiness to help others left a lasting impact on everyone he met. Bobby was a joyful presence, often the light of the room, and he carried his love for life into his hobbies which included wrestling, martial arts, basketball, music, and dancing.
Bobby was a graduate of Caesar Rodney High School in Camden, DE, and furthered his education at Delaware State College (University) in Dover, DE and Fitchburg State University in Massachusetts, which prepared him for his roles in education and service.
He is survived by his mother, Emma Ree Bell Mack of DE; his spouse, Lesley Renee Martin Mack of MA; his children from oldest to youngest: Patrick Lamont'e Gardner-Richardson of CA, Bobby Julius Mack (Frederica)of PA and NV, Crystal Elizabeth Mack of TX, Natashia Danielle Jeter of TX, Mercedes Miles Mack of NC, Ayana Marie Hazel Mack of MA, Justin Avon Mack of MA, Alexis Mack of MA, Trinity Mack of MA, Westley Roosevelt Samuel Martin Mack of MA, Ezekiel Adonis Martin Mack of MA, Socrates Eli Masterson Martin Mack of MA, and Nova Tirzah Martin Mack of MA (Lavon Antonio Martin and Lamar Logic Mitchell Martin of MA).
He also leaves behind his siblings, Brenda Gail Mack Middlebrooks (Frank) of DE and Supervoid Avon Mack Jr. (Shanita) of CA; and his nephew, Michael Shawn Edwards (Jessica) of NV, and niece Moriah Minyon Middlebrooks of DE; and niece, Jasmain Nicole Mack of CA, along with nephew Supervoid Avon Mack III of CA. Bobby was preceded in death by his father, Supervoid Avon Mack Sr. and grandson Jayden Liam Brown.
His grandchildren are Thomas Shaun Card and Maxine Crystal Card of TX; Cameron Isaiah Mack, Brianna Karen Mack, Bobby Julius Mack III, of DE, and Anya Julian Mack and Amenya Elizabeth Mack of NV; Charles Lavar Summers Jr., Laila Amani Miller, and Amora Marilyn Denise Mayes of TX; Tristan and Anthony Mack of MA. Bobby is also cherished by his Uncle, Aunties, cousins, friends and community.
Services will be held at Robert J. Lawler & Crosby Funeral Home, 1803 Centre Street, West Roxbury, MA 02132, on Thursday, November 21, 2024. Viewing will take place from 9 am to 11 am, followed by the service from 11 am to noon (live streaming during service only at www.lawlerfuneralhome.com). Bobby will be laid to rest at Mount Hope Cemetery, 355 Walk Hill St., Mattapan, MA 02126.
