Barbara J. Connors passed away peacefully surrounded by the love of her family on Sunday, October 12, 2025, at the age of 87. Born in Boston on October 27, 1937, she was the beloved daughter of the late William E. and Ann (Clark) Walsh.
A lifelong Boston resident, Barbara spent 57 years in Roslindale, where she raised her family, before relocating to Wrentham, MA in 2022. She worked alongside her loving husband, the late Kevin F. Connors, and their daughter Christine in the family business, Connors Associates, Inc., where they served as publishers' representatives. Following Kevin’s passing in 1991, Barbara and her daughter continued to manage the company with dedication, honoring the legacy they had built together.
Barbara deeply loved her family and found great joy in spending time with them. She was an avid reader and shopper, known for her warm personality and great sense of humor. She especially enjoyed traveling with her family, creating cherished memories together. Later in life, she found happiness on many trips with her dear friend Patricia Cronin and “The Ladies,” as well as during visits to her sister Mary in Florida. These experiences brought her joy, laughter, and lasting memories.
She is survived by her three daughters: Barbara C. Massarone and her husband Anthony of Wrentham, MA; Christine C. Kelly and her husband Kevin of Boston, MA; and E. Kelly Connors and her husband Matthew Nowosiadly of Fredericksburg, TX. Cherished grandmother of Ryann C. Massarone and her partner Owen Leonard of Roslindale and Julian C. Massarone of Wrentham. She is also survived by her sister Mary Holland of Gorham, Maine. Barbara was predeceased by her siblings Ann Shuley, Eleanor McLellan, and William E. Walsh.
Visiting hours will be held at the Robert J. Lawler and Crosby Funeral Home, 1803 Centre Street, West Roxbury, on Wednesday, October 15, 2025, from 9:30 to 11:00 a.m., followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:30 at Sacred Heart Church, 169 Cummins Highway, Roslindale, MA. Interment will take place at St. Joseph Cemetery, 990 Lagrange Street, West Roxbury. Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend.
