Aurea Noda, beloved mother, grandmother, sister and aunt, passed away peacefully on October 27th, 2025 at the age of 82.
Born on March 11, 1943, in Marianao, Havana, Cuba, Aurea lived a life overflowing with love, laughter, and music. She devoted herself completely to her family, always placing the needs of others before her own. A loving and dedicated mother, she took great pride in supporting her daughters and encouraging them to achieve their dreams. Aurea was a pillar of strength, compassion, and unwavering support. She found joy in cooking and took delight in ensuring everyone around her was well fed and cared for. Above all, she was a true advocate for others—anyone who had her on their side was truly fortunate. Her passion for music and dance was boundless; whenever a good song played, Aurea could always be found moving joyfully to the rhythm.
In addition to her family, Aurea dedicated her time to serving children at Runkle Elementary in Brookline, MA, where all the students came to appreciate the compassion she shared with them.
She is survived by her daughters, Rosa Noda-Clark and her partner David LeCours, Fatima Noda-Lake and her husband Drew Lake, her grandchildren, Jamison Clark, Sawyer Clark and Ethan Lake, her sisters, brother, nieces and nephews who will forever cherish her compassion, strength, and unwavering love. Though her presence will be deeply missed, her legacy lives on in the love, strength and advocacy she gave.
