Augusto da Silva

Augusto da Silva was born on September 22, 1952, in Fogo, Cabo Verde, to Joaquina da Silva and Antonio Mendes Barbosa. A kind and gentle soul, Augusto was deeply loved by his family and friends.

A man of few words and a generous heart, he lived life with quiet strength and on his own terms. He leaves behind numerous siblings who cherish his memory and carry his spirit forward with love and gratitude.

The family deeply appreciates the outpouring of love, support, and heartfelt calls during this time of loss—especially the unwavering care and compassion shown by Domingos de Santos, our “angel,” whose kindness has been a true blessing.

Augusto’s presence touched many, and his legacy of kindness and resilience will live on in the hearts of all who knew him. He will be deeply missed.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend. Visitation will be held in St. Patrick's Church, 400 Dudley St, Roxbury, MA 02119, on Monday, August 4, from 10:00 am to 11:00 am. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 am. Interment Fairview Cemetery, Hyde Park
