Obituary

.William P. Peak September 3, 1962 - January 25, 2019 West Roxbury Bill was the firstborn son (after seven girls) to Edward W. Peak and Alma M. (Cullen) Peak. He was raised on Church St. in West Roxbury along with his sisters and brother, and he loved the town so much that he never left. He married his high school sweetheart, Lisa, at Holy Name Church in 1989, and bought a house just a few blocks away from where he grew up. They raised two children, Alyse and Thomas, and countless pets in their home. His family, though he often gave them a hard time, was his pride and joy. After a hard-fought battle with cancer, Bill passed away at Brigham & Women's hospital on the evening of January 25th, with his wife holding his hand. Bill is survived and remembered by his wife, daughter, and son; by his siblings: Elizabeth and Martin Carney, Virginia Mullen and Paul Doub, and Mary, Theresa, Dorothy, and Edward Peak; by more nieces and nephews than he could count; and by his grand-dog, Max. He is preceded in death by his parents and by siblings Susan Mutascio, Deborah Handrahan, and Judith Peak. We celebrate his life where he spent most of it, in West Roxbury. Visiting hours will be held on Wednesday, January 30th, from 4 to 8 p.m in The Robert J. Lawler & Crosby Funeral Home, 1803 Centre St. West Roxbury, MA. Funeral Mass will take place on Thursday, January 31st, at 10 a.m. at Holy Name Lower Church, with a reception to follow. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Bill's life. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Dana Farber Cancer Institute.
