Obituary

Vandeventer, Tyler Wayne, on Tuesday August 3, 2021, loving husband, son, and grandson passed away at the age of 31. Tyler was born on October 12, 1989 in Scottsdale, Arizona to Dirk and Natalie (Brown) Vandeventer. He graduated from Boston College in 2012 with a Bachelor's of Science and received his law degree from Cornell in 2017. On June 18, 2016 he married Elizabeth Catherine Simonelli whom he had met at Boston College.

Tyler was a kindhearted, adventurous, and driven person. He loved being outdoors whether it was hiking with his wife and dog Higgins, sitting around a fire pit, competing in lawn games, or playing golf. He was known for his love of game nights, his undying devotion to the Minnesota Vikings and his passion for craft breweries. His dedication to everything he set his mind to, from a game of charades to his busy career as life sciences lawyer, was inspiring to all those who knew him. Tyler's spirit was expansive, colorful, and complex which is clearly reflected in his eclectic taste in music. He would go from Radiohead to the Eagles, from Dr. Dog and The Who over to Jimmy Buffet, and finish off a playlist with Lady Gaga. Music for Tyler was the language he used to express his love for those he cared about. He will be remembered for his infectious laugh, easy going attitude, quick wit and as a wonderful friend to many. Tyler is survived by his wife Elizabeth, his sister Hannah, his parents Dirk and Natalie, his grandmothers Bobbe and Sandra, his in-laws Colleen, Joe, Matthew and Michael Simonelli, and several aunts, uncles, and cousins.
