Trudy Anne Prior of Winchester, formerly of Malden, passed peacefully February 12, 2012, after a long illness. Beloved daughter of the late Margaret Macdonald Prior and John A. Prior, Medford; granddaughter of the late Jack and Harriett Macdonald of Malden; Niece of the late Congressman, Torbert H. Macdonald, Seventh Congressional District. Beloved sister of the late Jane Prior; Kathleen Fahey, West Roxbury; Jack Prior, Manchester, New Hampshire; Torbert Prior, Medford; Kate Duncan, Port Orange; Florida; and Paul Prior, Bradenton; Florida. Beloved aunt of Jay Evans, Shawn Evans; Jeffrey Duncan, Kimberley Duncan Kipp; Kathleen Comunale, Darlene Morris; Brad Prior, Jessica Prior, Cory Prior; and many beloved cousins. Beloved friend, Jean Leavitt, Burlington; and the late James Filz, Cambridge. Graduate of Brown University. Master's Degree, Leslie College. English teacher, Malden High School; Germaine-Lawrence School, Arlington; and Castle School, Cambridge, Special Education for Children at Risk. Trudy was an avid reader and loved to fill out the Sunday New York Times Crossword Puzzle in ink. Throughout her life she excelled at photography, painting, and ballroom dancing. She enjoyed traveling to Ogunquit, Maine, Rome and Florence Italy. Funeral Mass celebrated at 10:00 A.M., Friday, February, 17th, St. Margaret's Catholic Church, Winn Street, Burlington, MA 01890, where Trudy was a member of the choir for over twenty years. Donations may be made in Trudy's memory to the Parmenter Hospice Center, 266 Cochituate Rd., Wayland; MA 01778.
