Thomas Arthur Schuneman of Medford, Massachusetts passed away on September 9, 2023 after a long battle with cancer. Tom was born in Spirit Lake, Iowa on June 20, 1963 to parents Raymond "Smitty" and Patricia "Pat" Schuneman. He graduated Armstrong High School in 1981 and went on to Rochester Institute of Technology where he earned an Imaging Science Degree. He started his career at Rise Technology "just to get gas money to drive home", but then decided to stay.

Throughout his career he worked for a number of companies focusing on printing and electronic imaging and is credited on a ten patents. Tom took extra pride in his involvement with the startup company Wavemark Technologies where he got to hire and work with many of his good friends. Tom Married Mamye Kratt on May 20, 2000 in Grand Cayman. He is survived by his parents Smith and Pat Schuneman, mother in-law Barbra Kratt, and brother Bill Schuneman. Tom was preceded in death by wife Mamye and father in-law Robert Kratt. In his Spare time Tom liked to tinker. No problem was too simple for a complex solution whether it be selling the engine out of his high school car and designing and building a new one over 2 years while his parents patiently waited to get their garage back and washed grease out of his pajamas, or his final dream project to build a home theater with a screen that rotated up to the ceiling with a series of complex pulleys and tracks. Tom also really enjoyed his time sailing with friends and often talked of his adventures racing in regattas. Another of Tom's passions was cooking and he often made his mother jealous with descriptions of the complex meals he was creating to enjoy with his friends.
